Fingerprinting and Background Checks

Many hospitals and clinical agencies are requireing background checks of their employees and are requirieng students to have a background check prior to clinical experiences.  Since personal safety for students is of utmots concern to the faculty and administration at Lakeview College of Nursing, criminal background checks will be required of all students prior to final acceptance into the program.  This background check will not replace the fingerprinted background check done at the time of graduation and required by the State of Illinois 60 days prior to licensure.

A background check based on (but not limited to) name, gender, and date of birth will be required at the time of application and before a student may enroll.  If the background check shows a record of concern, a fingerprinted background check may be required.  The cost of any background check will be incurred by the student.
